DDR!

Well, it's been tested. If you rely solely on Dance Dance Revolution for fitness, you won't pass an army PT test. Yup, I'm a failure. I'm out of shape, according to Army standards. The shame!!!

Okay that's out of my system. Classes have been good so far. The online course is working out okay, all one needs is a little motivation and you can get it done. The portfolio review class makes me nervous though. I need a lot of my art work from all my previous art classes, which can be difficult because all of the best work from my Drawing II class is missing. I lost it when I was activated two year ago. Also, my work will be reviewed by the harshest critics. Whenever my work is critiqued like that, I sweat. And shudder.

Mike is pwning me.

I wanted to point out a neat little commercial from Thailand I found. Some of you have probably already seen it as it made it's rounds on the internet, because it's so perfect.

My video class is looking fun. I completed my first "movie" yesterday and it's enjoyable. It may become a second hobby of mine. All I need is a $3000 camera and a software program that most likely costs a lot. When I film for the class, I'll need people. Any volunteers? Paul already has!

Thursday night was bloody. I'm not saying anything more about it.

Mandie and I

Friday I did the DDR thing with my friends. I always have fun with these guys. That's where the pics are from, courtesy of Mandie. Big thanks to her!

I also wanted to mention Jon and Katie's housewarming/Jon's birthday party the previous week, which was also good fun. I ran into Danny, who collaborated with me on the Savoy comic (he thinks we're going to Hell for that). We started talking politics, and was astounded to find I wasn't a supporter of the current administration. I asked him why was he surprised, and he said because I was in the Army. I was oddly satisfied when he realized I was more of a liberal kinda guy, and he felt a little relieved, but it's funny how he (and not just him) assume that I lean right when I really lean left. When they find out, they seem more relaxed. Heh.

I didn't watch the Super Bowl. Just another game to me. I watched the commercials the next day online.

Finally, I understand how frustrating it is to see a favorite website un-updated for a long period. On those nights where you're surfing your bookmarks and you run out of places to visit, then decide to visit Super Pat Quest, only to find out it's the same old post on there. Sorry 'bout that, I'll try harder to appease the masses.

I can't believe you failed your PT test. Hang your head in shame. I suppose if you do hang your head I should hang my much, much lower; I've failed my PT test many times in a row now. If only they'd kick my out for that sort of thing, as they've always made empty threats about...sweet sweet threats.
